Paolo Castelli S.p.A. is an Italian company renowned in the global contracting and design sectors, operating at both national and international levels. It excels in managing significant public and private contracts, special supplies in the hospitality sector, high-end residential projects, retail, offices, and museums. Annually, the company showcases its furniture and lighting collections at prestigious events such as the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Euroluce, Imm Cologne, and the Shanghai Furniture Fair. With a family tradition spanning 140 years, Paolo Castelli has adapted to market demands by blending craftsmanship with innovation, providing a comprehensive “turnkey” service capable of demolishing, reconstructing, and furnishing spaces entirely.
The history of Paolo Castelli S.p.A. dates back to the late 19th century, specifically in 1887, when Ettore Castelli opened a handcrafted cabinet-making shop in Bologna. In 1994, Ettore's great-grandson, Paolo Castelli, graduated in Political Science and took on the challenge of revitalizing Modular, a group company that produced curtains, aligning it with Domodinamica, known for its iconic designs. In 2011, Modular and Domodinamica merged to form Paolo Castelli S.p.A., specializing in design and large-scale projects as a general contractor. Over a century later, the art of craftsmanship continues to flourish through tailor-made projects for hotels, libraries, and museums, highlighted by the installation of the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2015.
First presented at the Salone del Mobile 2012, Paolo Castelli's collection includes unique furniture and art objects inspired by the eclectic design of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, reinterpreted in a contemporary manner. Crafted by Italian artisans, these pieces showcase exquisite details and new living styles, merging functionality and comfort with a sophisticated aesthetic.
Unveiled at Maison&Objet 2020, the Greenkiss collection is the result of the creativity of designers Hubert de Malherbe and Thierry Lemaire. It features thirty eco-responsible products that highlight both functional and aesthetic aspects, advocating for an ethical approach to design. Drawing inspiration from Italian and French designs of the 1950s and 1970s, the line uses regenerated and sustainable materials, such as second-choice wood, recycled glass, and natural fabrics, characterized by geometric lines and graphic details.
Paolo Castelli S.p.A. collaborates with a trusted network of skilled artisans and talented designers, establishing itself as a reliable partner for complex projects. Its commitment to quality, attention to detail, and artisanal tradition has enabled the company to thrive and become one of the finest representations of Made in Italy, keeping the essence of craftsmanship alive.
