Seletti is an Italian brand in the furniture sector born in the province of Mantua in 1964. Seletti manufactures all kinds of home furnishings: for the living area it markets armchairs, sofas and footstools, as well as a series of creative solutions for the living area such as storage units and sideboards. For the sleeping area, the Italian brand offers bed linen, headboards and bedside tables. Attention is also paid to the garden furniture sector, embellished with a series of items such as tables, chairs and outdoor armchairs. However, probably the sector in which Seletti gives its best from a creative point of view, is lighting, both for indoor and outdoor spaces, in the home, business and contract sectors. The lighting sector gives maximum space to the creativity and artistic sensitivity of the designers who collaborate with the brand for the development of table, wall and floor lamps, always in line with a way of understanding art design as an element of innovation. and breaking with the classic taste. Innovative design and global presence: the history of Seletti
In the early 1970s, Seletti was a young company, but already dynamic and animated by an innovative spirit. In 1972, Romano Seletti, returning from a trip to the East, returns to his homeland with a new idea of design and the use of materials in the furniture sector. The result is a new way of looking at home decorations which takes the form of furnishing objects that are children of an experimental and different form than canonical standards. From there, Seletti's identity is defined in an increasingly specific way, embracing the idea of innovation and experimentation as a real mission. Seletti becomes a pioneer in the sector and the brand is also open to exports, taking on an international connotation. The character of the brand is confirmed and consolidated even in the 1980s: Romano is joined by his sons Miria and Stefano, the latter accompanying their father on constant training trips and research of new forms and stylistic expressions. At the same time, the commercial structure of the brand changes, which opens up to large-scale distribution and, among the first in the sector, begins to take care of the appearance of packaging in an increasingly defined way, configuring an increasingly original and seductive image in the eyes of the large world audience. Miria and Stefano definitively took control of the company during the 1990s, when Seletti had become synonymous with stylistic and material innovation. The 2000s marked the definitive leap in quality of the brand: two official overseas branches were opened (Seletti North America Ltd. and Seletti China); in Italy, a new showroom and new warehouses are inaugurated, extending over an area of 7,000 square meters and powered by one of the largest photovoltaic systems in Italy. Seletti opens up to continuous innovations, collaborations with the most significant exponents of world design and new product sectors, also starting the production of solutions in the lifestyle sector such as accessories for smartphones and tablets, soaps and bags, while maintaining faith in a corporate vision that, since its origins, it has been going in one clear direction: revolutionizing the design sector in all its forms and expressions.
