For over 25 years, Slamp has been a key player in the design lighting sector, embodying the excellence of Made in Italy. It merges artistic creativity with artisanal skills to create lamps that are both distinctive and versatile. Slamp's philosophy encourages experimentation with new materials and aesthetic inspirations, incorporating the diverse visions of architects, graphic designers, and industrial designers into its creative team.

Slamp offers a wide range of indoor lamps: the pendant lights stand out for their variety of shapes, colors, and materials, showcasing a unique decorative style that is both elegant and subtly chic. Similarly, the ceiling lights evoke strong imagery, translating artistic concepts into functional decor. The wall, floor, and table lamps also present refined solutions, crafted from materials such as plastic, acrylic glass, and metal.

Some of Slamp’s lamps have become iconic. The Clizia collection mimics natural forms and comes in various versions. Aria, designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, features a luminous architectural structure available in transparent, black, and gold options. La Belle Étoile is a delicate, lightweight lamp offered in both ceiling and pendant versions, handcrafted in Slamp's atelier. Nuvem is a stunning luminous sculpture made of hexagonal modules that can be connected in countless configurations.

The Journey of Slamp

Slamp was founded by Roberto Ziliani, who, with a decade of experience as a set designer, envisioned creating his own lighting brand. His goal was to introduce a bold, innovative approach to design lighting. In 1994, the Arte collection marked the brand's debut with the launch of the Slamp Tube, an unbreakable cylindrical lamp characterized by modernity and versatility. In 1996, a significant collaboration began with Alessandro Mendini, enhancing the brand's profile.

As the new millennium approached, Slamp felt the need to refresh its catalog, introducing dynamic collections like Bach, Diamond, and Bali. The years that followed saw the brand grow more structured, participating in Euroluce in 2009 and expanding its catalog with flowing designs such as Cactus, Aurora, and Goccia. The same year, the Veli line received its first Red Dot Design Award.

From 2012, Slamp became increasingly international, thanks to its collaboration with Zaha Hadid, who designed the Aria and Avia collections, later exhibited in renowned museums. The brand reached a new pinnacle in 2016 when it was included in Casa Italia during the Rio Olympics, unveiling new collections like Chantal and Mille Bolle.

2019 marked another milestone for Slamp, with the filing of new patents and a second Red Dot Design Award for the Hugo collection. On September 8, to celebrate 25 years of existence, a new production facility of 8,000 square meters was inaugurated near Rome, showcasing cutting-edge technology and a highly skilled creative team.
