Tacchini is a family company specialized in the design and marketing of furniture for the home, office and contract environments, for indoor as well as for outdoor use. Since its establishment by Antonio Tacchini in 1967, the company has been carrying on the craftsmen tradition that is proper of its place of origin. Over the years, next to this value, sustainability, the principles of the Made in Italy and the search for aesthetic quality have come to be part of the company mission. By partnering with many internationally renowned designers, the company has taken a next step to emerge in the furniture sector. Tacchini designs and manufactures sofas, armchairs, tables and chairs and modular systems for the home, office and contract furnishing, accompanied by solutions for the outdoor areas. The hallmark of the brand is the continuous attention to the quality of the materials, which are selected and transferred across 50km from the industrial pole in Brianza, between Como and Milan. The encounter among innovation, handwork and design gives life to a rich and multifaceted catalog. As a confirmation to the testified reliability of the brand, in 2012 Tacchini set off a System for Quality Management certified in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 14001: 2004 regulation.

Tacchini solutions for the living area

The catalog by Tacchini offers a wide and variegated range of solutions to furnish the living area. The proposals by Tacchini include linear and corner, leather and textile sofas, benches with back, ottomans, all elements that fit perfectly more classic as well as modern spaces and are available in plenty of shapes, tones and lines.

The brand versatility is reflected in its rich catalog encompassing a host of collections, among which the Julep collection, designed by Jonas Wagell and winner of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2018 – won by the Roma collection the previous year – and the Muuuz International Awards. In 2017 the Santiago line conquered the German Design Awards. These is but a sample of the many recognitions Tacchini creations have been bestowed with over the past few years.

Among the novelties, the noticeable Five to Nine collection, designed by Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto, the founders of the prestigious Studio Pepe. The collection comprises a bench with a frame made of open-pore painted finish wood and turned legs, onto which the seating is fixed, composed of separate bolsters. The bench can be transformed into a day bed, by inserting an armrest and the back, a composition that can be finished by a round coffee table, a useful complement to better enjoy lounge areas or waiting rooms.

The offer of seating by Tacchini also embraces the chairs and stools segment and features a varied stylistic proposition and an ample choice of materials in order to cater for the needs of any clientele in the home and contract environment. Among these, the Babela chair sticks out, a revisiting of the original one designed by Achille e Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1958, made of a frame in beechwood and a shell covered with fabric. The Memory Lane chair designed by Christophe Pillet, takes inspiration from the ‘50s models with its tubular structure in powder-coated metal and turquoise or bronze color, upon which rests a refined quilted upholstery secured by elastic straps, the trademark of this seating.

Tables, side tables and modular systems for the indoor e outdoor furnishing

Tacchini catalog expands to include also the tables and side tables segment for the home use destination, but also for waiting rooms, professional and commercial contexts, with solutions of a certain impact also for public spaces.

Tacchini versatility becomes also evident through the use of diverse materials, from wood to metal and marble. Model signature of the catalog s the Kelly collection, that also receved numerous international honors for its design and the ergonomics of its products. The Soap side tables collection designed by Gordon Guillaumier is already a best seller of the brand, enriched with new finishes, with the coated metal tubular base and the wooden tabletop.

Studiopepe also signed the new Pluto coffee table collection, with the sculptural forms of the base composed of three massive concrete legs with their cubist resonance, holding a top in solid wood with bullnose edge. Very much appreciated are also the solutions designed and manufactured by Tacchini with relation to modular systems, conceived since the beginning to optimize the use of and add value to any environment with their adaptability, efficiency, comfort and aesthetic impact. Among these, a top position is taken by the Polar collection, designed by Pearson Lloyd in 2006 and still very actual, to the point it was integrated in the Polar Alcove System in 2020. It includes sofas with different backs heights and trapezoidal ottomans, the perfect addition to create intimate island in lounge areas.
