Italic, or cursive, is a typeface that was created to imitate handwriting. The Italic definition is a tribute to Aldo Manuzio, the man who in 1500 democratized culture by inventing the printed book. The Italic armchair is born from these premises: a masterly demonstration of craftmanship of Driade artisans and a tribute to the Italian genius. As a carrier of assembled elements, halfway between an armchair and a small architecture, which indicates the direction of Driade for the coming years.
Composed of volumes of a declared architectural derivation and rigorous geometry, characterised by the angle and suspended armrest. The frame is made of fir and the seat is made comfortable by elastic straps. The upholstery is made of polyurethane foams with different densities. The fixed fabric cover defines the volumes with double-riveted seams.
