Tradition and Innovation: A Vision for the Future Since 1950
For over three generations, our company has been designing and crafting furniture. It’s not just about creating furnishings; it’s about a modern production philosophy, a passion for wood, and an expression of our identity. The business began in the late 1920s with our grandfather, a master cabinetmaker, continued with our father, who expanded the company, and now, since the 1990s, it is led by us — Magda and Flavio. Looking to the future, our goal is to solidify the distinct character of our products, born from a continuous and passionate pursuit of enhancing what we do best. Our strength lies in the balance between technology and historical expertise. We don't aim to create standardized furniture but rather pieces that are protagonists of their time and space. From this vision, Pictoom was born.
Two worlds in one word. It’s not just art, and it’s not just furniture. It’s the image that dresses the furniture, and the furniture that gives form to the image. Pictoom represents a new way to experience art. In marketing, everyone talks about customization to sell a product, but we wanted to go beyond that: we wanted to create something truly unique, more than just personalized. We aimed to transform a piece of furniture into an experience. Pictoom is the answer to that ambition.
Furniture tells a lot about a person. Through colors and shapes, our choices in furniture reveal our tastes and lifestyle. Furniture is identity, and illustration is art. It's an art form that steps off the canvas and connects directly with people. We want to move beyond the idea of art being inaccessible, distant, and expensive. With Pictoom, we offer furniture made of art that is understandable, human, and emotional. Owning a piece of Pictoom furniture means no longer just displaying art but living it. It’s no longer “look but don’t touch” — it’s about bringing a piece of yourself home that truly represents who you are.
In this project, our company, Marogna, collaborates with some of the most famous Italian illustrators, both nationally and internationally, to offer a product that goes beyond furniture: an aesthetic experience that merges the world of design with art, making it accessible and full of meaning.
