Mirror/Zero Black Edition

In this décor piece, a hand-ground dark-grey slab of crystal is layered with an extra-thin slab of solid Black Portoro marble, thanks to an innovative craft technique of surface layering. Lastly, a mirror gradient is applied by hand, creating a trompe-l'oeil effect of a fading marble surface. Together with a frameless and sleek appearance, a faint tilt provides a further twist in the subject perception, increasing the engagement and highlighting the thinness and lightness of this unexpected two-dimensional composition.
